I'd let Andersen rest another game or two. Let Sparks get the feel of a few NHL games. I'd rather have Freddy day to day in October than out with some serious injury later in the season because he's playing on a bad knee.

Babs said he was but Freddie said we’ll see.

Why is eks thread closed? Seems like an odd thread to be closed when it was suppose to be about ray emery’s video tribute in Ottawa.
I didn’t see any of the comments before it was shutdown.

Am guessing odds are the Ek thread closed because Ray was.... colourful... to say the least and imagine safer than having peeps dredge up his faults instead of just being nice?!

Thinking I agree on resting Freddy and not rushing him, play the long term game. A loss or two won't hurt us and we've built up some nice points out of the gate. Plus better to see if Sparks is going to be able to do the job or not now, and have plenty of time to look for alternatives if he can't. If he can then it gives Babs more options for down the road and more comfort in utilizing him.

Babcock was emphatic after the game that Andersen, who was listed as day-to-day with a knee injury after the morning skate on Monday would be in goal for the club’s next game against Pittsburgh on Thursday, but the big Dane indicated that there is still swelling in his knee after tweaking it last Saturday and that he hopes that it will go down in time for the match against the Penguins.

Holy run-on sentence.

You also don’t know anything about the injury and the Leafs do. So as a fan you have to go with what they decide here.

Fair enough assessment there and agree, save it doesn't seem like they really know either given Babs is saying he is in, Freddy saying we will see. Just hope Babs does not rush him back. Would rather they take time and err on the side of caution there.

From the last thread, I didn't know MiB posted a new blog..

But yeah, I'd definitely take Josh Anderson over Connor Brown in a heart beat.

He's a big power forward, plays with a lot of grit and has skill.

He would be exactly what Leafs need come playoff time.

I'd rather Freddy sit another game. There is no point in rushing him back if his knee is still swollen and bugging him a little.

Yeah I'm aware of that and it's up to Babcock if he wants to use him for the remaining 75 games this season. I'm just saying from the information that I'm gathering from various websites, it doesn't appear on the outside at this moment that it's a serious issue so I'm just implying that maybe some rest is better for the knee at the moment is better than playing on it. All I can do is hope that's what they do. What they decide to do is another thing.

Swelling is only good on one joint and having on the knee means there is an underlying issue so rest him and as long as they play like they did against LA Sparks will be fine

They have doctors that look at him every day, they will determine this. We really have no idea as fans in this situation.

Not true at all. Ray was a member at my golf course. He was a great guy and a gentleman at the course and is very much missed.
